Lets adjust your clock a lil! I'm bring everyone back to May cause i realised there are quite a number of things i forgot/too lazy/too busy to blog abt. Wouldn't wanna leave them out when i read back my entries :)
19th May - Wednesday
Phantom!
seriously, i didn't really know what this phantom thing is all about.
when it first started, Amy mentioned that she wanted to watch it cause many of her clients were telling her how good it was. i agreed to it without even having much interest cause, Forbidden City musical which i watched with Tim..left me with great impression and i do have high expectation for the Phantom.
because!
its said that, if theres only one show you wanna watch this lifetime, Phantom has got to be the one!
i paid for my $140+ ticket while Amy went on a treat by her collegues.
it was ________. i can't find a good enough word to describe how good it was..
good means good. simply good. okok maybe the expressive ones will go.. AWESOME! FAB! AMAZING! yeah, exactly.. it really was.
well, MOST imptly, we both thought it was very enjoyable and worth every bit of the money cause we had fantastic view of the stage.
the night started off with dinner at AL DENTE @ Esplanade before the muscial.
my first time there, not fantastic but i did had a good dinner.
eh actually, pasta mania will be good enough for me :p though the ambience was really cosy with the dim lightings..
i didn't bring my camera along! regret for the lack of photos on the food and the lousy photos that didnt favour Amy too well. haha! as for me, (private joke) S-CUBE looks good with whatever camera & any lightings! hahaha~

after the muscial, we bought some drinks,
sat by the bay and chatted till pretty late before we decided to head home as i've got school to attend to the next day.
sometimes i wonder why we just can't stop talking! maybe because she've got endless stories to share..
Vesak Day - 31st May
Huiyee's Return from Mexico!
she's burnt man. so tanned as compared to 2 months back and yeah, she lost weight. lots of it! and of course, generally, ppl look better without the extra weight. heh! so good for her. so, i shld head down to mexico soon too yeah?
me, eunice, tim and yixian thought of being sweet so we decided to buy her a small bouquet of flowers.
hey, the price was pretty reasonable u knw! cause i thought it was gonna be pretty ex cause e shop is located in the airport, and u knw, tourists base locations usually means less value-for-money-products. anyway, whats impt is the lil thought of us right? ;)
huiyee joined her parents for lunch upon arrival. we were all quite paiseh though her very generous mummy wanted to treat us to crystal jade, but there were like 10 other of her polymates~ so, in order to save her mum's pockets, we decided to go for lunch on ourselves than look for her later on..
fish & co for the 4 of us. goodie! seafood platter always fresh and succulent, portion big and its definitely value for money.the pasta wasn't that good to compliment.
eh, service fish & co at the airport is really good. always friendly, personalized and prompt. good choice if u wanna give overseas mates a treat at the airport~
then, we headed back to her house to spend sometime with her!
and of course, gifts for us! though she was stucked in a ulu village of Mexico, she still managed to buy us all gifts.. :) we all look so tribal using the stuff she gave! :p

thats my gifts! a
handmade bag, a
shell necklace,
friendship band and a
handcraft notebook..
thank you dear!

the following day.. FRIDAY! (last friday)
it was the start of our fun-filled weekend - 3days 2nights snoozing over at Huiyee's!
its our first time staying altogether! got really excited actually. heh! =D
tgt with Eunice, Yixian and Huiyee, we went dinner at WARAKU katong. booked our usual tatami room! its always nice to have ur own space during dinner... tatami seats are comfy!
every WARAKU meal is satisfying cause of the huge variety they have with constant updates of the menus according to the season. the price is good too! we ate like 1 main course each with 5 to 6 side dishes, not forgetting the drinks, good service and the tatami private room.. we paid abt 25bucks per person. whats more when the quality of the food is up to standard :) if u love jap food and haven't tried WARAKU - its time u give it a thought!

back at her house,
Tim joined us there aft dinner with his mom. we got changed into my sleepwear :p its fun to stay with friends isn't it ? doing those daily routine u used to do alone..
we chit chat, had wine and choya, munching on snacks, read mags~~ really relaxing and its a simple life enjoyment! oh anyway, for choya lovers, ever tried mixing choya with soda water? its really refreshing! taste like some newly invented alcoholic drink. cocktail choya perhaps?

was actually msging Amy all the way, sorta telling her we're all disappointed that she couldnt make it for the night. and we purposely took this group photo to make her
jealous!
WHO KNOWS!She was actually lias-ing with Eunice the whole of that day, since morning. keeping it from us, making it like a big surprise........................ yeah we all got sooooo happy when she pop-ed into the room! like.. "EH!" she even lied to me that she was with her collegues, having black pepper crab at lau pat sat. YEAH RIGHT!
hahah! thanks for the effort u make in hiding frm us. it was a well-kept one and very heart-warming surprise cause every meetup we have, it will usually be lack of her, so whenever she can make it, we get extra excited!
and she insist we take another photo to make it complete! no no, not exactly complete since nic is not with us :(
time check : friday midnight

when the night falls deeper, we decided to order macs for supper! yums. though fries are soggy, though burgers are lukewarm. why does it still seems so satisfying? :)
20pieces nuggets, 3 large fries, 1 shrek burger. woooo! anything that makes u fat is generally yummy.
supper @ the balcony under the moonlight..
time check : 3am on saturday

time check : Sat Morning
we planned to wake up at 8am. but i KNEW it was impossible lah! most of us slept at 4am. huiyee's maid cook us breakfast and her parents later brought more to add onto the table.. yummy! carrot cake, zhui kway! have been long since i had such traditional "oily" breakfast man..

after breakfast!
we all had our own programms for the day.
huiyee & eunice went sun tanning, yixian had exam on that morning, amy left for work at esplanade and i went over to suntec to help my aunt's booth for world book fair like every other yr..
and so we all left the house and arranged to come back "home" (huiyee's place) in the night for dinner. hey, its so fun to stay tgt! heh! really. its like spending lives tgt. though i knw many wld say.. its not gonna be an easy thing if its for long term.. *shrugs*
time check : 10pm of saturday
i went over to esplanade wanting to wait for amy to end work so that we can cab down to huiyee's place tgt. only to realised she end work at 11.30pm! jus at that moment when i wonder how am i gonna spend the next 1.5hrs, i caught benny boo in sight! :D
and he was also waiting for his collegues to work overnight at the temporary stadium (for NDP) beside esplanade. we went stood by the bay and chatted for abt 1/2hr before he left to meet his friends. for the past almost-2-yrs in shatec, its the first time i talk to benny for this long (though it seems really short) one-on-one and really pretty in depth talk.. :) sucha conicidental meeting.
when he was about to leave, a taiwanese tourist came over to ask us what was that stadium for, so benny explained a little before he left. i carried on the chat with the tourist for the next hour or so! he was here on an exhange programme sent by the taiwanese government to learn more abt our art festival.. sucha nice chat! we ended up exchanging emails.
chats like this really makes the night feels much warmer :)
time check : midnight of saturday
we finally left esplanade for huiyee's place.
home sweet home!
by the time we settle down, shower and all.
it was already 2am. we then heat up our lovely hotpot of curry fish head that was prepared earlier on by huiyee's maid, Jonaly! she's not a maid! she's our friend man. buddy! she treat us all so well, always making us feel so at home. anyway, she's an almightly maid lah, she is learning driving ok! O_o IM SERIOUS.
time check : 4am on sunday we chatted on and on till we fell asleep...
time check : 9pm on sunday
supposed to go to my club (chinese swimming club) for breakfast
BUT
as usual, we couldnt wake up! haha, so Jonaly prepared breakfast for us again. pork congee! yum! like those serving in crystal jade.
amy left us for work again.
eunice and yixian headed home.
me, tim and huiyee went down to Orchard Hotel for IDP openhouse to apply for our unis.
i applied for Uni of Melbourne, Monash Uni, Australia National Uni and Uni of Western Aust.
spent like hours there till the late afternoon before we went for our late but DAMN DELICIOUS lunch at Hard Rock Cafe! *we had a hard time finding the place. its actually behind forum*
its my first time there though im sure almost everyone wld have heard of it.
wooooooooo. its damn good! they generally serve american food - western food.
it taste even better cause huiyee has got a 100dollar voucher..
but we over-ordered and ended up with a $144 bill.
i love it! a lil sweet, a lil sourish..

tim had his
alcoholic lemon drop.
nice! sweet and with a very intense lemon taste..

onion rings.. a lil too much for 3pax~
not for non-onion takers.. cause the onion taste is really strong..
potato skin with melted cheese and sour cream. they love it !
pork ribs
salmon pasta
honey glazed pork chop
and... APPLE COBBLER! this is DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN GOOD. it looks/sounds like apple crumble but its the best apple dessert i've ever tried. with the signature Hard Rock Ice Cream on top of the apple base.. wooo.
im not too good with my words, so let the pictures do the talking yeah..

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
its been a really eventful and fun-filled weekend. though it was just 3days 2nights.. and i wonder when we will have another chance to spend this kinda quality time tgt. i'll always remember..
i look at the photo, though we dont exactly look damn good in there, i think it looks so perfect.

whats more?
